Joliet Quarry is located in Will County in Joliet, Illinois. Joliet is nicknamed the “City of Stone” for its large amount of limestone which has a bluish-white tinge.
Kincaid Lake Spillway is a man-made lake located in the Shawnee National Forest northwest of Murphysboro. The spillway is popular for its beach and waterfalls. The lake offers many recreational activities and is a very popular location for water sports including jet skiing, water skiing, wakeboarding, cliff jumping, boating and fishing. The cliffs are over 70 feet above the water and will range in height around the lake. There is also said to be a secret diving cliff located 3 miles from the trailhead.
